In 2016, we invited multi-instrumentalist Ngô Hồng Quang to perform at the 8th Engaging With Vietnam conference in Honolulu, Hawaii.
That encounter led to a collaboration between Ngô Hồng Quang and EWV founder, scholar and poet Phan Lê Hà which resulted in an album called Nhìn lại (Looking Back).
Essentially what happened is that Phan Lê Hà shared some of her poetry with Ngô Hồng Quang who then found the inspiration to compose the songs on the album. Ngô Hồng Quang also sang and performed most of the instruments.
The album is available on Spotify, and the official MV for the first song, Đi tìm (Searching), has just been released. Please enjoy the video, and see below for the lyrics (in both Vietnamese and English).
