I don’t know, was it part of the “work” of women to help make a modern nation by getting their hair permed like modern women in nations in the West?
That’s interesting assumption. I agree, just check that not only this getting hair perm but also many Western cultural values spread at the same time.
Also, it’s the one on the purpose to make the country civilized and modernized. I think this is very interesting topic to look more deeply.
